Francophone Mobility Work Permit

The Francophone Mobility Work Permit allows foreign workers to work for Canadian companies outside Quebec.

Canada is officially bilingual, with both French and English as national languages. However, many provinces outside Quebec do not have enough French-speaking residents. To support these communities, the Canadian government introduced special programs that make it easier for francophone workers to come to Canada.

The Francophone Mobility Work Permit was launched in 2016.

Current requirements for workers:

• Receive a job offer from a Canadian company outside Quebec
• Prove you can speak and listen in French at NCLC level 5 (B1 level) or higher
